Hi Nuffnangers,

We can’t believe we’re half way through 2016 – time flies when you’re having fun! Talking of fun, we wanted you to meet the newest member of the Nuffnang UK team, Cat, who joins us as an Account Manager. We thought you might want to get to know her, and there’s no better way than via a good Q&A session:

Why did you join Nuffnang?
I’ve recently become really interested in blogs. I’m really passionate about everything pertaining to that sphere so it’s really exciting to now be working with brands to strategise and help create campaigns within this space and our talent pool of influencers. I’m really enjoying it.

What’s a weekday in your life like?
I’m still learning the ropes here and there but I’ve been enjoying meeting with new brands and clients, having creative sessions over various campaign strategies and having LOLS with the team!

If you could change your first name?
I kind of enjoy my name as it, it does what it says on the tin- who wouldn’t want to be named after a cute and friendly ball of fur!?

If you had a super power?!
Definitely time travel! I think that would be really fun. I’d bring people along for the ride too.

Are you seeing someone?
Recently back on the market but right now I’m working towards building my empire.

Last Film you watched?
22 Jump Street. What a film! Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum- such a hilarious duo! Would definitely recommend, I couldn’t stop laughing.

Favourite dish?
Gah I LOVE mac n cheese but now I’ve found out I’ve gluten allergies, I’ll have to say some sushi or Turkish-related dish.

Do you see yourself living anywhere else?
 I’m enjoying London for now but who knows what the future holds. I’d love to see a bit more of the world though!

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Biebs. Though I think everyone loves him now though, right!? 😉

Hi Nuffnangers,

We can’t believe it’s almost April – it feels like only yesterday that we were welcoming 2016 in. It might have something to do with all of the exciting things happening here at Nuffnang, including new additions to our UK team. The newest recruit is Sadie, joining us as Talent and Community Manager. Sadie is already settling in well but we wanted to get to know her even better, and what better way than via the Nuffnang tradition of our Q&A:

Why did you join Nuffnang?

Well, it was a close call as I was just about to sign another deal but they won me over with their business ethic, future vision, incredible team and talents.
There were multiple reasons, but I have been a freelance writer and creative for a good few years now I although I have worked with some amazing publications and brands, more recently the work that I was being paid to do just wasn’t creative or in line with my passions. This lead me to the decision to do what I truly love creatively in my own time, and go to work for a creative company where I can use all of my skills to nurture and promote other talents. Nuffnang is a perfect fit.
Having been the talent myself and also worked on the brand and business side I cannot wait to apply my experience to the Nuffnang network and see the talent flourish in the direction each individual wants to go. Doing what you love when you’re a creative has to be priority, but you have to be a business too and I am hoping I will be the link between happy brands and happy bloggers.

What’s a weekday in your life like?

Right now I am learning about the Nuffnang network and soaking in all of wonderful blogs we have under our umbrella; the range of diverse talent is amazingly moreish and I can spend hours just reading. But I’m a real people person so I can’t wait to be out and about connecting exciting clients with unique talents and seeing everything coming together.

If you could change your first name?

I like my name – it does what it says on the tin.

If you had a super power?!

It would be to have power to invisibly dissolve all and any weapons across the world and recycle the materials into homes for people in need of safe shelter. I’d also dissolve Donald Trump all together – because who would miss that.

Are you seeing someone?

No. I’ve settled down with myself and I’m thinking of making it ‘official’. It’s pure bliss.

Last Film you watched?

High-Rise. I love JG Ballard’s novel; director Ben Wheatley has an incredible mind, and I’ve been an admirer of Tom Hiddleston forever. Now ‘everyone’ has discovered him, I feel I bit miffed TBH.

Favourite dish?
Black Coffee.

Do you see yourself living anywhere else?

I don’t think I will ever love anywhere like I love London, but I also have a love affair with New York City and see it as my second home. I also love the whole of Scandinavia; I adore the natural beauty of the landscape and particularly the steely style of the Swedes.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

I don’t believe you should ever feel guilt over something you find pleasurable – unless it’s damn right odd. Then best just to keep it to yourself and enjoy anyway.

Did you know that mobile advertising is predicted to take over newspaper advertising for the first time this year? (*) If you’re a blogger who keeps an eye on your analytics, you will already know that an ever-growing number of readers come to your site from mobile devices, phones, and tablets, rather than desktop. Why this shift? While our current Nuffnang units are excellent at tracking web traffic from desktop visitors, they don’t necessarily show on the mobile version of your site because you might have a mobile-optimised layout that hides your sidebar. We know that many of you use the Skyscraper Nuffnang unit and so not only your sidebar is hidden for mobile visitors, but these visitors are not recorded accurately at the moment. The new mobile ad unit will fix this: it is a tiny closeable ad which will print out when your site is viewed on a mobile device and it will record all your mobile visitors in real time.
