We slipped into December and it definitely feels Christmassy at the office. In fact, we just had our first mulled wine of the season last night! Of course we’ve seen gift guides, winter recipes, christmas crafts, tree decorations and party playlists pop up across your blogs so we know you’re embracing the seasonal merriness too; we’ve been adding Christmas-related posts to our Pinterest board here and there will be more from Monday onwards, if you fancy a peek.
Today we share a little recap of our Bloggers Workshop: Useful + Beautiful, held last Saturday at citizenM Bankside with the help of the nice folks at Goodprint, and we’ll start by thanking all of you who supported this community event by grabbing a ticket or sharing it across social media. It was a whirlwind afternoon and like last year, it was a wonderful feeling of achievement for our team to see you come together to learn and network with us.
We’re so proud of our blogger-speakers: Fran from Fall For DIY, Teri from The Lovely Drawer, Marlene from Chocolate, Cookies & Candies, and Sarah from The Laughing Medusa who did an amazing job and delivered inspiring presentations on their blog journeys, their successes and challenges and what they are planning for the future. They shared a wealth of tips and calls to action with us attendees and I know that many of you left that Saturday feeling inspired and challenged to take your blogs to the next level. Carrie and I hope that you enjoyed our best practices presentations too; she was speaking about branding and identity on behalf of Goodprint and I was chatting about all things newsletters (cringe-y examples from early Nuffnang days included).
Whether you were there in person or checking in on social media, we hope that you’ve all found great new blogs to follow (and perhaps a few new friends) among the 50 bloggers who came. If you loved the rather fabulous brownie bar provided by Julia’s Handmade, you can join us in wishing her all the best in setting up her business and blog.
If you loved the “Make your own camera strap” DIY hosted by Fran, don’t forget to send her a little thank you and, just in case you’ve also been bitten by the crafty bug, know there are tons of ideas for original handmade presents on her blog and jewellery e-course – so we recommend you take a look!

Attendees, a warm thank you for all the comments, shout-outs and pictures you shared on Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #NNworkshop; there is a resources deck on its way to your inbox this weekend. We also want to thank Leanne, Monica, Angela, Katy, Sarah, Catherine and Nazia for their lovely blog posts about the event! If any of you write about the workshop on your blogs, let us know and we’ll add your links to this recap too.
Finally, we have some extra goodies provided by Goodprint to share with you: they are extending a 10% discount on their LUX cards range to our whole community with the code “NNLUX”, so if you fancy getting some new business cards done in time for Christmas, you know where to head!
Have a lovely weekend everyone and chat soon.
